Mom has sent me some quotes of the day...this is a good one so I've figured I'd share it.
♥ You were born to be real, not to be perfect. You are here to be you, not to live someone else's life.
♥ Every day you make some progress and every day you make a few mistakes. Through it all, your wisdom continues to grow and your experience continues to broaden.
♥ Be gentle with yourself. Accept who you are, where you have been, and what you have to work with, for in this moment you can make positive use of it all.
♥ Reach in and touch the purpose that makes you feel most alive. The world around you is filled with places where that purpose can do great things.
♥ It is never too late to offer your unique and genuine gifts to life. Now is the time to do great things, even in the smallest of ways.
♥ Choose to fully and graciously live life as it comes. The richest rewards by far are the ones to which you most sincerely give of yourself.

Paralyzer
I've heard this song on a lot lately, and I know many people love it according to youtube viewers, but I just don't get it.
I've finally looked up the lyrics online because I couldn't figure out what the lines were. It turns out, that I understood the lyrics, but they just don't make any sense to me. Unless I just don't get the deep seated symbolism on it. It sounds more stupid than before.
What do you think??
Finger Eleven - Paralyzer
I hold on so nervously To me and my drink I wish it was cooling me But so far, has not been good It's been shitty And I feel awkward, as I should This club has got to be The most pretentious thing Since I thought you and me Well I am imagining A dark lit place Or your place or my place
Well I'm not paralyzed But, I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move Because you're standing still If your body matches What your eyes can do You'll probably move right through Me on my way to you
I hold out for one more drink Before I think I'm looking too desperately But so far has not been fun I should just stay home If one thing really means one This club will hopefully Be closed in three weeks That would be cool with me Well I'm still imagining A dark lit place Or your place or my place
Well, I'm not paralyzed But, I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move Because you're standing still If your body matches What your eyes can do You'll probably move right through Me on my way to you
We'll, I'm not paralyzed But, I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move Because you're standing still If your body matches What your eyes can do You'll probably move right through Me on my way to you
I'm not paralyzed But, I seem to be struck by you I want to make you move Because you're standing still If your body matches What your eyes can do You'll probably move right through Me on my way to you
You'll probably move right through Me on my way to you
You'll probably move right through Me on my way to you

Cultural Differences Explained
I read this article somewhere and I'd like to add it to my collection of funny ride.
Aussies: Dislike being mistaken for Pommies (Brits) when abroad. Canadians: Are rather indignant about being mistaken for Americans when abroad. Americans: Encourage being mistaken for Canadians when abroad. Brits: Can't possibly be mistaken for anyone else when abroad.
Aussies: Believe you should look out for your mates. Brits: Believe that you should look out for those people who belong to your club. Americans: Believe that people should look out for & take care of themselves. Canadians: Believe that that's the government's job.
Aussies: Are extremely patriotic to their beer. Americans: Are flag-waving, anthem-singing, and obsessively patriotic to the point of blindness. Canadians: Can't agree on the words to their anthem, when they can be bothered to sing them. Brits: Do not sing at all but prefer a large brass band to perform the anthem.
Americans: Spend most of their lives glued to the idiot box. Canadians: Don't, but only because they can't get more American channels. Brits: Pay a tax just so they can watch four channels. Aussies: Export all their crappy programs, which no-one there watches, to Britain, where everybody loves them.
Americans: Will jabber on incessantly about football, baseball, and basketball. Brits: Will jabber on incessantly about cricket, soccer, and rugby. Canadians: Will jabber on incessantly about hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, and how they beat the Americans twice, playing baseball. Aussies: Will jabber on incessantly about how they beat the Poms in every sport they play them in.
Americans: Spell words differently, but still call it "English". Brits: Pronounce their words differently, but still call it "English". Canadians: Spell like the Brits, pronounce like Americans. Aussies: Add "G'day", "mate" and a heavy accent to everything they say in an attempt to get laid.
Brits: Shop at home and have goods imported because they live on an island. Aussies: Shop at home and have goods imported because they live on an island. Americans: Cross the southern border for cheap shopping, gas, & liquor in a backwards country. Canadians: Cross the southern border for cheap shopping, gas, & liquor in a backwards country.
Americans: Drink weak, pissy-tasting beer. Canadians: Drink strong, pissy-tasting beer. Brits: Drink warm, beery-tasting piss. Aussies: Drink anything with alcohol in it.
Americans: Seem to think that poverty & failure are morally suspect. Canadians: Seem to believe that wealth and success are morally suspect. Brits: Seem to believe that wealth, poverty, success and failure are inherited things. Aussies: Seem to think that none of this matters after several beers.

GG Addict
You know you are addicted to GG Forums when...
If you can't access GG Forums due to maintenance, you get a minor freak out and start hitting refresh button repeatedly
You actually call the members GG'ers and not GG members
You find yourself composing topics or replies while watching TV programs, or listening to music, or eating, or at class
When you are out, and suddenly think of a funny comment you've replied to someone several days ago, you start laughing
You download some sort of Emoticons and Dividers which have only the purpose of making topics prettier without using GG t.e.x.ting options manually
The first thing you do in a daily basis when you go online is checking GG Forums new topics even before checking your email
You have put more time into GG Forums than all your homework/projects/essays
You write posting to notify people that you are going to sleep or waking up
You console yourself after a disaster...thinking, "At least this will make a great topic in GG"
Instead of doing your own homework, you post it on GG Forums to get some help
You are guilty of posting insignificant pictures or silly topics to get more members to befriend with you
You are guilty of replying excessively and aimlessly to boost your points count
When your GG friends ask you what's new, you get upset because you've already written it in the forums and they haven't checked it yet
You have more friends on GG Forums than in real life
You can't seem to call your friends by their real names only their nicknames in GG Forums will do the job
You are in love with a member on GG Forums
You post about a party or get a get-together on a topic
You write a protected topic about one or many of your GG friends (Dang--that's me). You get extra points if they eventually reply to you
You talk about GG members to your family all the time...like they are a part of your real life friends
You create a GG group or team, and members actually join it
You have GG friends, to whom you will stand by if you can, even if they are wrong
All your siblings have their own GG membership
You stop talking to a member because of something they say on GG Forums
You are being jealous of members who have more responses on their topics than yours
Sometimes you write really great, solid topics and you get a great disappointment by the lack of good responses
You throw birthday parties or give shout outs to all your GG friends for/on their birthdays
You have another secret GG nickname that hardly anyone knows. You use it to respond to yourself
You break up and end friendship with a member solely via GG Forums
You report an offensive response to the administrators at least five times
You consider it a great offense if someone praises another forum
You write long stories on GG Forums
You get the email forwarded jokes and pass them on to other members who are GG Forums addicts
You have ever had a dream of GG Forums and members
You turn down social events just to be on GG Forums
